This is the article from Yahoo Finance about some of the worst promotional stunts ever. Remember KFC's coupon for grilled chicken? Or those lite brite looking things in Boston?

Coca-Cola's Bringing Fizzy Milk to the Masses BY Ariel Schwartz For those of you who don't like the taste of flat milk, Coca-Cola is coming to the rescue with Vio, a concoction made of skim milk mixed with sparkling water, fruit flavoring, and cane sugar. It sounds slightly nauseating, but Coke assures us that the milk won't curdle in its aluminum bottle. Wonderful, but is this really a healthy alternative to regular milk? While Coke says that Vio is healthy thanks to its "natural ingredients", calcium, and vitamin C, these are questionable claims. Mother Nature News points out that Coke doesn't reveal the complete list of ingredients in the drink anywhere on its Web site--it must contain more than just skim milk, sparkling water, fruit flavoring and cane sugar, because none of these ingredients contain fat and yet somehow Vio has 1.6 grams. Nutritional claims aside, the lessons of history may prove detrimental for Vio. Cresta, a fizzy drink contained fruit flavors and milk-derived ingredients, was popular for a short period in the 1970s before disappearing. And British company BritVic tried to sell a carbonated milk drink six years ago before giving up on the idea. Don't be surprised if the same thing happens to Vio. The drink is currently being test-marketed at delis and natural food stores in New York. |

Well, this sounded like a great idea until I actually took a look. Then there was sticker shock! This pair is $319.00!!!! Would you really wear these (not so cute) shoes? Would you pay this much for the adjustable heel? Comment below and let me know.

Re posted from http://carscoop.blogspot.com Outrageous? You bet. Controversial? Sure. Ferrari blasphemy? Quite possibly. But come on, it's not like you get the chance every day to see an insane project like this. Created by a bunch of crazy Italians at Nimik, the car you see pictured above combines the modified body of the iconic French Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette bread-van with the chassis and 375bhp 3.5-liter V8 engine of a Ferrari F355! The Prancing Horse-Double Chevron crossbreed took around 1,500 man hours to complete and cost approximately €180,000 or the U.S. equivalent of $250,000. Understandably, the project was no easy task as the two cars share nothing in common other than the fact that they come equipped with four wheels... The crew over at Nimik modified the 2CV's body which is much wider than the stock Fourgonnette and now features a pair of giga-sizes vents on the sides that feed air to the mid-mounted Italian V8 powerhouse that drives the rear wheels. If you think that the end-result looks cool in the photos just wait until you see the Ferrari 2CV in action in the video below.

These are the faces of some of the children we met in Africa. I won't forget their laughs, their smiles and the way it felt to have their little hands grab mine!

Tonight as we sleep under mosquito nets there is plenty to reflect on; Remembering to pray for the Pastors who want so much to start a Christian radio station to touch lives in a very real way, the beautiful children we have seen playing in the streets and the poverty stricken villages we have driven through. World Vision is a huge part of the community here. Helping in many programs such as some of the initial finding for this radio station to be built as well as teaching and helping to build drip irrigation systems which will help the entire community to grow not only the foods they need for their families but foods that they can sell in the market as well to help provide for their families.
Among the many things we have learned so far about the people of Senegal, one stands out the most. The people here are some of the most hospitable I have ever met. I have traveled state to state and to several different counties throughout the world and what we've experienced in the last two day is the understanding that the people in this community have very little but they are willing to share it all!

I started packing for the trip to Africa today. Packing crayon boxes between soft t-shirts as if they were fine china. I kept thinking to myself it will be nice for these kids to have one nice new thing in one piece. I'm really hoping everything stays in one piece. From the glowsticks to the many containers of bubbles and cute little hair accessories for the girls I managed to get all of the terrific fun, pretty, cute, exciting items that you donated as well as a few things that I picked up into one suitcase that looks like it was packed by an M.I.T engineer. I'm not sure why but i took one pair of cute shoes. I know I won't need them, but if a teenage girl wants to play dress up I am prepired to leave them behind. In more then 48 hours we will be well into the trip.
